Yara is a paralegal at BLP’s Montreal office.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Law (2019) and a master’s degree in Private Law (2020), both from the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut. Following this, she was admitted to the Beirut Bar in 2021 and she joined our office in Montreal to expand her knowledge in the Canadian legal field.

Yara aims to sit for the Quebec Bar in 2024 and therefore is currently undergoing the equivalence program at University of Montreal.

She is also expected to complete her diploma of higher education in alternative dispute resolution in 2023 at University of Sherbrooke, while concentrating her studies on arbitration and mediation. Meanwhile, Yara is a student member of the mediation and arbitration institute of Quebec (IMAQ)

At BLP, her background is valued as she plays a significant role in both the Litigation and Commercial Law Groups.

She intervenes mainly in civil litigation, commercial and corporate law.

Yara demonstrates strong research skills. She conducts jurisprudential, doctrinal and legislative research, as well as research in various public records.

Yara is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
